QMS: Quality Monitoring App for PMGSY Road Works
QMS is a mobile app developed by NRIDA to monitor the quality of road works carried out under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). This app is specifically designed for field monitoring observations by independent Quality Monitors, both National Quality Monitors (NQMS) and State Quality Monitors (SQMs).
With QMS, all inspections conducted by Quality Monitors are recorded on the app. This includes recording geo-tagged photographs and quality monitoring observations, which are then uploaded on OMMAS. Each independent monitor grades the quality of every item and sub-item of road work. Based on these gradings, an overall quality grading is generated as per guidelines.
The app categorizes the grading into three categories: "Satisfactory" (S) for work that conforms to specifications, "Unsatisfactory" for work that does not conform to specifications, and "Satisfactory Requiring Improvement" (SRI) for work that needs some improvement to meet specifications.
QMS plays a crucial role in ensuring that road works under PMGSY meet the required standards for quality and timely completion.
